Caryl Havasy
Caryl says she is glad she brings no other qualifications to teach and speak other than her love and passion for God and His Word! Therefore she boasts all the more in her weaknesses and His wisdom and strength! God has gifted Caryl with the ability to understand and communicate His Word clearly and effectively. As a Women's Bible study leader, she communicates the truths of God's Word with loving kindness, passion and humility. The love Caryl has for Jesus radiates in her countenance, and her sweet and gentle spirit is evident as He speaks through her.
Formerly, Caryl has served in Warren Baptist Church's Preschool and Children's Ministries as a Mission Friends and Bible Thrills leader. In the Women's Ministry at Warren over the past years, she has served as Co-Discipleship Coordinator and traveled with the women's mission team to Paris, France.
Caryl has been married to Steve for 13 years, and they have two sons-Michael, age 10,and David, age 7. Caryl is a Medical Technologist at a local hospital. In her free time she enjoys reading, walking, writing devotionals, going to the beach and playing Wii with her boys!!
As expressed in Philippians 3:7-14 by the apostle Paul, Caryl too believes that whatever is to her profit she now considers loss for the sake of Christ; indeed, she considers everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus as her Lord. Caryl considers all things rubbish so that she may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of her own but that she may gain Christ's righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. She longs to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
