Susan Martin

Susan Martin has been married to her husband, Jim, for 27 years, and they have three children, Zachary, 22, Kayla, 20, and Josh, 17.   Zac and his wife, Jeanna, recently gave birth to Susan’s first grandchild, a sweet little girl named Ellie Reese.
Susan has a heart for preschoolers and served in various areas of preschool ministry for 20 years.  In the past she has served as a preschool teacher and Mother’s Day Out Director at Warren Baptist Church.  Also, she has led and served in women’s ministry, has facilitated numerous women’s Bible studies and has served on the Augusta Association of Baptist Churches’ Vacation Bible School and Sunday School Conference Teams.
Her love for children has led Susan to a new path recently, however – one in the business world, as she works with a pediatric dentist, coordinating patient care and insurance coverage to ensure that little mouths receive the care they need.

Susan came to know Christ as a young child and made her public profession of faith at the age of 12.  She has an unquenchable passion for God and His Word and proclaims that it is only by God’s grace that she is able to stand in victory over childhood trauma, an eating disorder in her teenage years, the death of her first child in the early part of her marriage, as well as the many trials and struggles of everyday life. God has led Susan to conquer the through the reading of His Word, prayer and quiet time, and journaling.
When Susan speaks, her audiences are captured by her wisdom, straight-talk-truth and charm.  Her down-to-earth and practical messages encourage and challenge you to put your faith into action and her witty, laugh-at-yourself personality inspires you to try!

Susan’s favorite Bible passage is Romans 8:28-38, where God conveys His endless love and care for us, His children.
